Kaitlin Kerstetter is a dedicated attorney specializing in civil litigation, contract disputes, criminal defense and internal investigations, Orders of Protection, probate, and guardianship matters.

Kaitlin is a seasoned litigator who started her career as a 711 licensed law-student intern with the Kane County State’s Attorney’s office. After graduation from law school, she accepted a position as an Assistant State’s Attorney where she successfully tried to verdict before judges and juries’ cases involving domestic violence, DUI, juvenile court proceedings seeking protective custody of minor children, and other white-collar financial crimes. In her role as an Assistant State’s Attorney, she implemented Crisis Intervention Training for police officers throughout Kane County and worked to identify treatment alternatives for first time, non-violent offenders in the Kane County Treatment Alternative Courts and served as a mentor for new Assistant’s State’s Attorneys.

Ms. Kerstetter holds a double major in Political Science and History from Illinois State University, She received her law degree from Northern Illinois University College of Law where she was the recipient of the Outstanding Public Service Award and the Outstanding Women and Gender Advocacy Award. She is a graduate of Geneva High School who has returned to reside and practice law in her local Tri-Cities Community.
