With nearly a decade of legal experience, Kelli Murphy is a seasoned attorney dedicated to providing exceptional legal services to clients in Illinois and beyond. Born and raised in the Aurora area, Kelli is honored to use her legal skills to give back to the community that shaped her.
Kelli began her legal career at the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office, where she spent six years as a 711 intern and prosecutor. During this time, she tried over 100 jury and bench trials and focused primarily on prosecuting domestic violence and white-collar crimes. Kelli’s extensive trial experience and dedication to justice earned her a reputation as a formidable advocate in the courtroom.
After her tenure in Kane County, Kelli accepted a position as an Assistant Disciplinary Counsel with the Office of Disciplinary Counsel – Supreme Court of Ohio. In this role, she worked to maintain the integrity of the legal profession in Ohio by investigating and prosecuting allegations of misconduct against lawyers and judges. Kelli also argued professional misconduct cases before the Supreme Court of Ohio and the Ohio Board of Professional Conduct. In addition to her prosecutorial work, Kelli served as in-house counsel for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, where she handled complex legal matters relating to oil and gas resources management.
Kelli earned dual majors in Politics and Philosophy at Illinois State University before pursuing her legal education at Northern Illinois University College of Law. In law school, Kelli served as the Research Editor of the Northern Illinois University Law Review and her Comment was selected for online publication.
In her free time, Kelli enjoys spending time with her husband and their family, working out, and teaching new tricks to her two dogs, who she named “De Novo” and “Amicus” as a tribute to her love for the legal profession.
